Mum is as superstitious as they come. Maybe its a Bahamian ting, but I don't think so. It doesn't help that both her friends, Miss Knowlton and the witchy woman who is the wife of the petting zoo guy that lives near us, are into the supernatural (as well as the natural). They are all practitioners of herbalism, and it's a short step from herbalism to bush magic.

My girlfriend and I went out for a Sunday brunch with another couple. He is a co-worker of mine, and she is his girlfriend of 6 months. We went to a lovely little Victorian town where all of the buildings are made of limestone, and a river meanders through town. Incredibly scenic and a beautiful spring day. We ate on a patio overlooking the yacht basin.

Man was I some ticked yesterday. I came home and checked voicemail. There was a message for Mum. The guy identified himself from the Honda dealership in town, and said that he would deliver Mum's vehicle at 1:30 PM yesterday.

Don't ya hate it when your parent lies to you? Last night, Mum asked me to take her to woman's group -- a group of ladies from the church who meet regularly. It was a surprise to learn that I have to drive, because usually Miss Knowlton drives Mum. I asked Mum why Miss Knowlton couldn't drive, and I got an evasive answer that parents usually give to their children.
