Boy I tell ya Bahamians like new tings. There is a new City Markets food store 'Out West' (Cable Beach area in New Providence) and the people flockin to the new Food store. See the photos attached. The New City Market Store opened Late January 2007, and replaced the old City Market building that happens to be just next door. After many years if not decades of having a run down food store in one of the Richest areas of New Providence they finally get an up-to-date food store with modern and technology equipped food store. It even has scanners!

Boy I tell ya! But I must say good job on the new store though. Much more parking. Spacious aisles, grocery item scanners, a CLEAN deli (I didn’t see one roach, unlike some other food stores in this Island) and professional looking cashiers (I didn’t see no cashier with purple or blue weaves.. lawd let me stop).

The location again is on Cable Beach opposite the BayRoc development, just past the Cable Beach main hotel strip when heading west. When Bahmar opens that store will be set.

In the meantime it’s always packed as people from all over the island now shops there. I is run into people shopping there from Coral Harbour, South Beach, East St Over da Hill and even Yamacraw.
