Regatta  time begins. This weekend I decided to go to the Montagu Regatta. It has been like 2 years since my last regatta.  I had heard about the regatta in the Chat and on one of the local radio stations. I think it was 96.1FM.

First things first, how to find parking? As usual the police had blocked the entrances to the area, so parking there was off limits. So I drove around for about 10 minutes trying to locate a good spot. Finally I saw an empty spot in the Higgs and Johnson Building which is across the street opposite the Montagu park.

Second, needs some food. Stopped at an old lady’s stall and brought 3 dollars worth of Conch Fritters.  Talk about Greasy food, oh well, ya gatta die somehow.

Well as for Regatta action, nothing was going on. The boats were anchored some ways off the shore with sails down and people just hanging around idly. Well I didn’t really come for the sailing anyway, I came to see if I could run into an old friend, hopefully female.

Took a quick scan of the crowd, and it was mostly male. Damn! But check the gal wid the Boongie in the photo! Oh well at least these Fritters are da Bomb!
