| HILLARY 101: How to be a Political Bully |
|
|
From answering planted questions to 3:00am phone calls to dodging sniper bullets Hillary Rodham Clinton is a democratic candidate full of energetic theatrics and political stamina. Barack Hussein Obama, the funny African-White American, Hawaiian, Indonesian, Christian, Muslim, etc., oratorically-gifted rival has shot passed her in the race for the Presidential nomination and looks set to lead the Democratic National Party into the November elections. Hillary, of course, did not let him slip by easily and some of the rhetorical blows landed by her and her husband, former President William (Bill) Jefferson Clinton, and their campaign will leave political bruises to last beyond November’s electoral process. Today, though, this man-woman has set her sights on shoving the Democratic Party into a corner, slapping them around a bit and forcing them to give her the nomination. Twenty million dollars in the red and with a string of political hits and misses she is determined to push on and indicates that she will drag her fight to the floor of the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August if necessary. Of course, she is planning to use Florida and Michigan as an excuse to justify her challenge to the Democratic Party. Even though she joined other political candidates in dismissing these states because they broke party rules Hillary has singlehandedly continued to change the rules of engagement as her dreams of winning the Democratic nomination disappears with falling primary curtains. While multicolored Barack sets his sites on John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee whose straight talk express ends with curves, bends and u-turns on the campaign trail, the Clintons and McCain have continued to dismiss Obama as unprepared and inexperienced, respectively. Of course, it is this unprepared, inexperienced challenger who has derailed Clinton’s race to the White House as the first female president and who, in a number of polls and primary caucuses, has shown that he has the ability to energize millions of voters, attract new voters to the Democratic Party, particularly from the Republican side of the political divide, and essentially give McCain a run for his money. Obama has further demonstrated his political existence as a real threat to the Republican machinery by his challenge of their existing President, George (W.hat the hell do I know) Bush on his remarks where he relegated tough diplomatic talks with leaders of countries like Iran as appeasement. McCain is still trying to figure out the best way to stump Obama without aligning himself to or sounding as idiotic as Bush. Clinton was quick to step away from this melee and, under much pressure (and pretense), defend Obama. Of course, she did not spend much time on this defense as she was too busy figuring out news ways to count the votes and delegates to put the nomination run in her favor. Hillary’s life in politics and her recent campaign has demonstrated that she is a manipulative character who will stop at nothing to get the power she desires even if it means shutting up her husband and politically “pimping” out her daughter. That includes ruining the Democratic Party who she feels owes her the nomination and should stop at nothing to give it to her even if means bending, or breaking, the party’s rules. Right now the party seems to be ducking because imaginary sniper bullets are bad but real Hillary bullets are far worse. In her attempt to send subliminal signals, divisive statements by Mrs. Clinton have cut at the heart of the party particularly along racial lines in an organization that embodies America because of its vast incorporation of voters from every race and walk of life. While racism is alive and well in Kentucky where Obama is not poised to receive much support because of the color of his skin, his victory in Oregon proved to Clinton that this reality can be overcome with time and commitment. Of course, Clinton is using the long drawn-out primary process as a tactic to execute subtle sabotage of Mr. Obama’s campaign to prevent more white working-class voters having enough time to get acquainted with him before elections in the fall while she presents her as the viable political solution “ready on day one.” After learning that Obama was headed to Florida Hillary and her campaigned hightailed to the Sunshine State to head off his efforts there. She did not come without her surprises and, as usual, she was counting. She practically mutilated that Democratic Party for refusing to recognize votes or award delegates in the Florida and Michigan primaries – a commitment she also agreed to because both states violated party rules by holding their primaries too early – and she demanded that the votes be counted as they were cast even though none of them campaigned in either of the states and Obama was not listed as an option on the Michigan ballot. Clinton went as far as to equate the Democratic Party’s decision to that of the controversial election of November 2000 when something went horribly wrong in the general election process and George Bush ended up the victor. This sucker punch below the belt is aimed at DNC officials who are expected to discuss the Florida/Michigan issue in a meeting on May 31st and determine if and how their delegates should be awarded. The Psycho Ex-girlfriend of the Democratic Party, a description attributed to Mrs. Clinton by Madatoms.com (http://madatoms.com/2008/05/edit-hillary-clinton-psycho-ex.html), has threatened that she will go to the Democratic Convention fighting behind the banner of supporting Florida and Michigan. Hillary is formidable and she has every intention of browbeating the Democratic Party into submission. Her ambitiousness and resilience will not allow her to quit her quest in this race on or before June 3rd. She will pull other rabbits out of the hat to justify why she should carry this fight to the floor of the convention. She will use her manipulative, persuasive abilities and before Obama and the super delegates know it, if they are not careful, she will have slipped the nomination out of his grasp. She will invent stories, characters, scenarios, personal and political achievements, present numbers and polls favoring only her, change the rules and shed crocodile tears if necessary all in an effort to guarantee herself the Democratic presidential nomination. No matter how the numbers fit, as long as Hillary is in the race she remains a Democratic Presidential hopeful. Can you be angry at her? Not really. Hillary Rodham Clinton has the true makings of a politician. She is committed and unwavering in her quest for self-empowerment. She is bright and smiling, yet shrewd and cunning; calm and collective, yet vicious and determined; challenging and outgoing, yet slippery and evasive. Washington and life with Bill Clinton has made her into an iron lady with a bright smile that sometimes comes across as wicked and a sharp persona that, to some, appears cruel. Barack Obama has nothing to fear if Hillary becomes the nominee because at least he would be on her side. John McCain, on the other hand, would have to roll up his sleeves and put on boxing gloves because this primary bout has revealed that Hillary Clinton is a candidate who does not let up even when she is beyond exhaustion. Political referees will have to beware because she fights blindly and her fists have no eyes. While Obama and McCain are attacking each other she has busied herself beating the crap out of the Democratic Party as this article is being written. It is actually going to be quite interesting to see who wins this battle between Hillary and her new opponent, the DNC, and how it affects the general election process between the Democrats and the Republicans in November. Stay tuned! |
