FORMER Deputy Prime Minister Sir Clement Maynard died yesterday afternoon at his home. He was 81.Sir Clement died with his family by his side, including Lady Maynard, his wife of over 63 years, and his children and grandchildren. “It was a very peaceful death,” his daughter Senator Allyson Maynard-Gibson told The Tribune yesterday. She said her father was conscious in the moments leading up to his death.
