Straw Market Raid - 2008/10/16 13:59 I had to laugh. Say when immigration gone to the straw market to round up the illegal haitians and Jamaicans who is be selling stuff there, that they only catch 21 people because the other set run out through the side exits of the market.

So how they try do that raid, they pull up with one bus out front and tell ppl come to dem a?

Re:Straw Market Raid - 2008/10/16 14:05 I was kinda sad and grinning watching it on ZNS... those poor people... And to hear the the Bahamian vendors were pointing them out... omg... how rude... yet funny. For real though how cud they let those people escape... they should have had people under cover at all exits doy! They really need to hire some people who kno how to do tactical planning cuz that was really dumb if they let that happen.

Re:Straw Market Raid - 2008/10/23 13:44 Ok, so if two illegal activities are hapening in the straw market. Why only try and resolve one?

So we have illegal immigrants and 2 bahamians selling counterfeits, so when then will shut down ALL illegal activities .

Re:Straw Market Raid - 2008/10/23 17:43 Personally I myself don't have a problem with knock-off name brand items, you only have 2 wear them once and as long as no one else sees that it's a fake it doesn't matter and if someone steals it you can get a good laugh off of them... but then again that's me.

But if selling them is illegal why do they do it in a STRAW MARKET! Those people first of all , I would think, won't want to buy Gucci in the Bahamas for like $50 or $100 dollars in an outdoor stall unless they are stupid. I admit I would buy one in a store... well for $20 in a store to wear a few times but I swore they were supposed to be selling touristy stuff and not "fashionable" junk. Then again our government and the people are just slack like that... anything goes these days.

I say they open up a FLEA MARKET to do that.
