How did we let Long Wharf beach become a cruising spot for Gays?

This has been the buzz of the town for weeks now, since the local paper ran an expose on the Mayfield Hotel Brothel that is situated adjacent to the Western Esplanade.

Here are snippets of the issue.

According to the Nassau Guardian a local paper; One of the capital's northern shorelines has been transformed into a hotspot for homosexual prostitution.

A Police Officer, told The paper that Long Warf Beach has been the base of operation for homosexual prostitution.

The police officer confirmed that male prostitutes are selling sexual favors for money and not just 'cruising' for sex.

An officer at the Fort Charlotte Police Station, which sits just opposite the seashore, told our news team: "Guys are sleeping on the beach. We have guys now who are male prostitutes that solicit homosexuals."

Police said local men that sell their bodies for profit usually operate at Long Warf Beach during the early morning hours, sometime between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m.

WDF.. so if the Police knows this is going on how come they haven't clamped down on it??
