The Rain Forest Theatre on the Cable Beach Strip, in Nassau Bahamas, was host to a sold out crowd last evening at the prestigious 2007 Miss Bahamas World Pageant.

Fifteen (15) fabulous Bahamian beauties competed for the coveted Miss Bahamas World crown in all its glory, in addition to $30,000 in prizes and the prestige of representing her country.

Two other titles were awarded on the evening to the 1st and 2nd runners up – they were Miss Bahamas Tourism Queen and Miss Bahamas Intercontinental, respectively. They will go on to compete in these titled international competitions – representing the Bahamas.

The girls were very well prepared, showing poise, elegance and intelligence throughout the evening.

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES:
July 22, 2007
The new Miss Bahamas World will be crowned in a Grand Coronation Show, beginning at 8 p.m. sharp! The spectacular event will be held at the Rainforest Theatre, Cable Beach, under the theme "Out of Africa - a Celebration of Freedom!"

July 21, 2007
The contestants will face the judges in closed door interviews. A contestant/judges dinner will follow. These events are not open to the public.

July 20, 2007
The contestants will compete in the Miss Bahamas World Evening Gown and Talent Competitions. The winner of the talent competition automatically advances to the semifinals, so there's a lot at stake. This event will be open to the public. More details to come!

July 17, 2007
From July 17th to the 19th, the Fabulous Fifteen will be making the rounds on the morning shows of several radio stations to promote the pageant. Stay tuned!

Rise and shine! The girls will have an early morning as they make an appearance on Bahamas at Sunrise.

July 15, 2007
Its a big day for the contestants in this year's pageant. The preliminary swimsuit and Top Model Bahamas competitions will be held at the Compass Point Resort, West Bay Street. At stake are a spot in the semifinals, and the chance to represent The Bahamas at next year's Top Model of the World competition. The fun begins at 4 p.m.

The 2007 Miss Bahamas World contestants will parade through the streets of New Providence beginning at 1 p.m., using the following route: Leaving the Mall at Marathon, turn left onto Marathon Road; heading South on Marathon Road, turn right onto Robinson Road; heading West on Robinson Road, turn right onto Blue Hill; heading north on Blue Hill Road to Bay Street; heading east on Bay Street, turn right on Victoria Avenue; heading South on Victoria Avenue, turn right onto Shirley Street; heading West on Shirley Street, turn left onto East Street; heading South on East Street, turn left onto Wulff Road; heading east on Wulff Road, turn left onto Mackey Street; heading north on Mackey Street, turn left onto Shirley street; heading west on Shirley Street, turn right onto Church Street; heading north on Church Street, turn right onto East Bay Street; heading east on East Bay Street, turn right onto Village Road; heading south on Village Road, turn left onto Bernard Road; heading east on Bernard Road make a right turn at the Fox hill roundabout head South onto Fox Hill Road; heading South on Fox Hill Road, turn right onto Prince Charles; heading west on Prince Charles Drive, turn right onto Marathon Road, ending at the Mall at Marathon. Make sure to be in place to catch a glimpse of your favorite contestant!
