When we put meaning to these two words then we get the actions of ourselves towards each other, whichever suites you. If you ask a kid if he wanted a model or toy most definitely he would say toy, all because there’s no fun in a model for a kid. Just to clarify in this case I speak of model as a representation of an object, (normally miniature) and of course we know toy being an object used for play. But as an adult what would you prefer a model or a toy? Would you want a remote control car as oppose to a model car? The answer there would probably be remote control car because we to know what it is to have fun.

In saying all of that, lets get back to the question and its purpose.  Model or toy? What feeling or emotion would you like and why? Remember, emotions play a central role in many human activities.The purpose of all of this is to reach those who are in relationships where they hurt everyday, for those who don’t see the wrong in what they are doing to cause that person hurt and for those who just deal with it, don’t know why and ask the question, “what do I look like?” Well, good question, and at the end of this you should be able to answer it for yourself.

Ok, lets pick a feeling, ahh, how about love, good. Now do we want that love to be a model or a toy? Lets have some fun and make it a love toy. Why would you make this feeling a love toy? “Well because I can have a lot of fun with it, do you know how much fun I can have with a love toy?” Yes I do, but do you realize that once your love toy is burnt out, destroyed, mistreated or lost that you cant just buy a next one because we’re dealing with a feeling and not an actual object. Sorry buddy, it don’t work like that. You took that feeling that belonged to someone and played with it, now its no good, no longer there and you’re lost wondering where did all the fun go, what did I do.

Interesting is it? But if we could take this same feeling of love and turn it into a model, then we would have a love model where the value increases with time, never played with because you don’t ever want it to be broken(knowing the value of it), dusting it off every time you do your household chores just to make sure it stays the way it was when you first got it.You would also have it in a place in your home so whenever you have guests they can see it and compliment you on such a lovely piece.

See, what I am saying here is, this is how we should treat each other and our feelings, as models not toys. We are all very valuable(priceless I should say) and the more we treat or be treated as models, the longer and happier we would be in our relationships. So for those of you who asked the question, “what do I look like?” examine yourself and your partner and make a determination whether or not you’re a Model or Toy.
