New Years Eve in Nassau. The great thing about living in the Bahamas during New Years is that you don’t have to don the winter garb that you would have to in some of Northern States of the U.S. Today, I decided to do the beach vibe; you know drive around the beaches hoping to run into an old friend maybe, if you really lucky it would be a cute girl from your old high school. So First off you got to clean up the Hummer (Joke, I wishhhh I had a Hummer, that’s a surefire ‘mango-skin babe magnet’: check this pic I took while cruising). Anyways I clean down the ride right, get ‘she’ spiffy. The secret about cleaning cars in Nassau is you got to have your old newspapers to wipe down the windows with. Ask any Bahamian guy.. Nothing shines up fresh tinted windows better than some old newspapers. Don’t believe him, ask any Jonzer :) Well these days, its most likely the young Bahamian Guy is da Jonzer.. I Joke, I joke, I kid I kid, well not really…
Anyways, so I roll round Montagu right, empty. I guess 2pm is too early for these set in the east, so I roll down by long wharf. Better luck, I spot at least 3 or 4 solid mango skin type gals, so I pull up under one of the trees on the long wharf section that is a lil ways from the Fry. Turn up the music hoping one of the girls look my way… No luck… damn. I didn’t recognize none of them anyway.. Since the gals aint checking I glanced over and spotted the Haitian sloops anchored a ways off-shore. For a Sunday they were quite a few little dinghys busy ferrying goods too and from shore to the sloops. See photo. Boy can you imagine traveling to Haiti from Nassau on those little boats. Boy that’s one occupation you won't see me signing up for anytime soon. Hey wasn’t there a story the other day about Haitian sloops being busted for drugs? I wonder which one it is? Could it be this one?
Happy New Years Yall, I hope you are enjoying my Blog so far. Any suggestions on them so far? |
