Super Sunday at Sheraton Our Lucaya a Smashing Success

Football fanatics around the island wait all season for the Big Game and this year was no different. Thanks to a collaborative effort on the part the Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Company and the Westin & Sheraton Our Lucaya Resorts, sports fans were able to celebrate this year’s match up in grand style. The Brewery showcased their new product, Sands Beer, at a tailgate party and Superbowl extravaganza at the Sheraton Our Lucaya’s popular Prop Club on Sunday.

The event gave locals and tourists an opportunity to mingle with each other while enjoying the fun, friendly atmosphere at the beach side venue. Scores of fans, dressed in team attire, crowded in front of two giant screens to watch the Giants and the Patriots battle for bragging rights. A lively group of visitors, from Toronto, Canada, seemed absolutely thrilled to be a part of the festivities. “The atmosphere is great, the beer is fantastic, and I couldn’t ask for a better setting to watch the game,” said Josh Turner, the group’s spokesperson.

Although only on the market for a short period of time, Sands Beer has already become one of the best selling beers on the island. Sales Representative for the Bahamain Brewery and Beverage Co., Yvette Lightbourne, says “the response from locals and tourists has been phenomenal. Since the product hit the market everyone has gone ballistic over it”.
